About Mark Beaven

The Artist and his trade

Mark is a painter and printmaker who lives in Nottingham, UK. He trained at Chelsea and Camberwell Schools of Art in London, and has an honours degree in Painting and a Masters Degree in Printmaking. He specialises in figure and portrait painting, and also etching. His work is inspired by both the observed world and allegorical subjects.
Mark has shown his paintings extensively both in the U.K. and abroad, including the Hayward Gallery, the Whitechapel Gallery, The South Bank Centre, London, and Chicago International Art Fair. His pictures can be found in many private collections. He is a Fellow of the Nottingham Society of Artists. Mark has exhibited his prints nationally, including the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers, Bankside Gallery, London.

His works are held in private and corporate collections in the UK and abroad.
